Role Overview

The Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. This position requires advanced analytical skills, proficiency in Power BI, and hands-on experience with data warehousing.

 

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Insight Delivery

  • Collect, clean, and analyse large datasets from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Develop advanced dashboards and reports using Power BI, delivering clear and actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Perform statistical and trend analysis to support business strategies and operational improvements.

Data Warehouse Management

  • Design and maintain ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading into data warehouses.
  • Optimise data models for performance and scalability across BI platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of data systems.

Collaboration

  • Partner with cross-functional to identify analytical needs and deliver solutions.
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure alignment on data strategy, share best practices, and deliver consistent outputs.
  • Contribute to the development of organisational data strategy and governance frameworks.

Advanced Analytics

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and methodologies in BI and analytics.
  • Bring a unique perspective to data analysis by leveraging advanced analytics techniques and exploring innovative ways to interpret and visualise data beyond traditional methods.

 

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI (including DAX, Power Query).
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing concepts and tools.
  • Familiarity with ETL pipelines and data modelling best practices.

Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in data analytics or BI roles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex data into business insights.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.

Professional certifications in BI tools or data analytics (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.
