About the Role

Role Description

We are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team at Maria Mallaband Care Group. The Assistant Management Accountant will support this business function with monthly P&L, balance sheet preparation and weekly KPI’s to improve overall business financial performance.

  • Please note this is an office-based role and is based at our Leeds Head Office – LS126DB
  • We are looking for somebody currently commenced or wanting to start ACCA/CIMA/ACA


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation of monthly Management Accounts for circa 80 homes monthly. Including accruals, prepayments, variance analysis and commentary.
  • Detailed Accrued & Deferred Income preparation
  • Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting the Finance Business Partners and liaising with Regional Directors with the analysis of management accounts.
  • Assisting with budget preparation
  • Weekly reporting of KPI’s to the board
  • Any other ad hoc reporting and analysis work required
  • Support of annual audit

What We're Looking For:

  • Commenced or wanting to start ACCA/CIMA/ACA?
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of financial controls and reporting
  • Analytical mindset with great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving attitude
