About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available at Maria Mallaband Care Group for a People Business Partner to join the team!

We are currently recruiting for a an experienced, proactive, and forward-thinking HR professional who will be responsible for providing advice, support and guidance to our leadership teams on all People related matters while maintaining an appropriate balance between strategic and operational working.

This is a regional role supporting approximately 12 care homes and will suit somebody based around the Sunderland or County Durham area. Due to the travel involved a car allowance is included in the package.

Key Tasks:

  • To coach, guide and support leadership teams within the assigned group of homes with all people related activities to enable appropriate people decisions
  • To contribute towards the development of the Company’s People Plan, driving its implementation within the regions/homes
  • To be an ambassador for driving cultural change, engagement and retention initiatives, and the Company’s purpose, pillars and values
  • To work in partnership with the ER Team and the assigned group of homes to resolve all Employee Relations related activities whilst mitigating business risks
  • To support the ER, Talent and Pay and Reward Teams with People Policies and Procedures, making suggestions for improvements based on feedback and experience of delivery
  • To identify internal and external trends, monitoring people metrics and best practice, to influence business decisions and drive continuous improvement
  • To work with the wider HR teams on the development of local succession and talent plans, agreeing actions to support its implementation
  • To manage, coach and develop the People and Development Leads in order to ensure the effective delivery of the Company’s People Plan across the assigned group of homes

About you:

  • Relevant experience within a generalist HR/People position driving change across an assigned business area
  • CIPD qualified or qualified by experience
  • Proven application of current Employment Law practices
  • Demonstrable experience on supporting with complex ER issues
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead and advise on cultural change.
  • An understanding of requirements of working within a regulated environment
  • Experience of delivering training and people related projects
