Please note this is a regional role and the successful candidate will support specific services in a designated area around the UK and therefore its essential that you have a UK Driving Licence. Due to locality there may also be the need for overnight stays.
The main function of the role is to be deployed into a service which requires Nursing support to achieve quality focused outcomes. Such as coaching staff on Clinical practice, medicine management, writing and evaluating person centred care plans, supporting in management of individual nursing needs.
About You:
Senior Nurse/Unit Manager/Clinical Lead, Registered with NMC with no restrictions on practice
Must be RGN qualified
Experience of working in a Care Home setting is essential
A practical, 'hands on' approach – working on the floor guiding, coaching, and training staff
Sound knowledge of regulatory standards, statutory requirements in a care home setting and of improvement methods with the ability to guide, coach and practically empower services to implement change.
Experience of conducting checks of medications, care plan completion & staff observation – adopting the principle of showing the person, watching the person complete and providing feedback
Skills Required:
Experienced in supporting/ developing clinical teams
Strong organisational skills
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience of developing links with healthcare professionals and external organisations
An ability to work flexibly to the needs of the service and organisation.
